COST OF LIVING in IRELAND 2022 | Living expenses explained!

GALWAY

What is the cost of living in Ireland in 2022? I try to explain the living expenses in Ireland like rent, grocery expenses, car insurance and broadband/wi-fi.

Information provided in this video about costs and expenses is purely based on my experience and it might differ from person to person.

If living in a major city like Dublin is your dream, the cost of living there, as in any major city, will be higher. Rent can start at 1000€ and run as high as 2,200€ ! Outside of Dublin, in the lush, green countryside you can pay 400€ or less.

Meals when you’re out and about can run you between 13€ and 18€, but this is no mere bowl of soup. For the price, the carvery lunch serves up sliced chunks of juicy meat, cooked veggies, and, the classic staple, potatoes.

However, it is important to note that expats usually have well-paid jobs, due to the level of skill often required to be granted permission to work in the State. This means that those who are moving to Ireland for work should not find it difficult to live comfortably.

It is estimated that a family of four would need approximately 6,000 EUR per month to live comfortably in Ireland. This takes into account the costs of everyday living expenses, transport and housing and allows for disposable income.

I hope you found this useful. Have a nice day and see you in the next one!
